Trama
Chi tratta i dati
Quali dati trattiamo
- I tuoi dati restano finché hai l'account.
I tuoi diritti
Privacy policy
Trama is an app to keep your library: you photograph a book, you find it with its authors, characters and links to your other books, and you get suggestions on what to read. This page explains which data we process, why, who we share it with and how you can manage it.
Who processes the data
The data controller is Simone Marchica, operating under the name Tackora. For any privacy question write to support.trama@tackora.it.
Which data we process
- Account: Trama uses the Tackora account, the same as Ritrovo, run by the Ritrovo service (sign-in with Google or with email and password, as described in the Ritrovo privacy policy). Trama receives your name, your email address and an identifier of the account.
- Your library: the books you add with their data (title, authors, publisher, editions, cover), whether you read them, the reading state and progress, ratings, personal notes, the reading journal, your shelves and the covers you upload.
- Book photos: the photos you take or choose to recognise a book. Before leaving the phone they are reduced and lose their metadata, location included; on the server they are stored encrypted, in a separate folder for each user. They stay stored after the book has been added: to have them deleted write to support.trama@tackora.it. A photo discarded before adding the book is deleted at once.
- Files you import: if you import your library from a CSV file (for example from Goodreads or Anobii), the file is read to create the books and is not kept.
- Preferences: language, theme and your choices on suggestions, spoilers and reading goal. Language and the site session are in two technical cookies; the other choices stay in the browser or in the app on your device.
- Technical data: IP address and time of the requests to the server, for security and to fix problems; the app version and platform, to know how many people use an old version; for each account, the days you use Trama and an estimate of the time of use, which only the administrator sees, for support and to understand how to improve the app, and which we keep for 13 months or until the account is deleted; how much artificial intelligence work each account uses (number of requests and tokens, never the content), for the daily limits and the costs.
We do not sell your data, we show no advertising and we do no profiling. Reading suggestions come only from the books in your library and the choices you make in the settings.
Why and on what basis
- To provide the service you asked for (account, library, book recognition, graph, suggestions): performance of the contract, art. 6.1.b GDPR.
- For the security of the service, to fix errors and to keep the costs of artificial intelligence under control: legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f GDPR.
- For support and to understand how to improve Trama (days and time of use of each account): legitimate interest, art. 6.1.f GDPR.
Who we share them with
Only with the providers needed to run Trama, each for its own part:
- Netsons s.r.l. (Milan, Italy): the server running the site, the app and the database.
- Anthropic: the artificial intelligence that reads cover photos, compares the photo with the covers of the editions and writes the characters, events, plot, genres and mood of a book. It receives the photo or the title and authors of the book, never data that identify you.
- Google: sign-in with Google (through the Tackora account); Google Books, which our server asks for book data from title, author or ISBN; Google Fonts, from which your device downloads the fonts of the pages (so it sees your IP address).
- Open Library (Internet Archive): our server looks up book data and editions; the covers of Google Books and Open Library are downloaded directly by your device, which therefore shows its IP address to those services.
- Online bookshops: the "Where to buy it" links open Amazon, IBS, laFeltrinelli and Libraccio only if you tap them. The Amazon link carries Tackora's affiliate code: if you buy, Amazon can tell that you come from Trama. Those sites have their own policies.
Some providers may process data outside the European Union. In that case the transfer relies on the safeguards of articles 44 and following of the GDPR offered by each provider.
How long
- Your data stay as long as you have the account.
- The days you use Trama and the estimated time of use are deleted by themselves after 13 months, or earlier if you delete your data or the account.
- When you delete a book, its data (notes, journal, ratings, own cover) are deleted at once.
- To delete your Trama data, photos included, or the whole Tackora account: the app's Settings, or the page account.tackora.it/elimina, or write to support.trama@tackora.it. The deletion becomes final 25 days after the request; in the meantime you can cancel it (link in the confirmation email or on the same page) and the account cannot be used.
- Database backups are replaced by newer ones; deleted data may stay in them for a limited time, until the backup is replaced.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to the processing, and to receive your data in a readable format. From the app you can already change everything you saved and download your library (Settings → Export CSV). For the rest write to support.trama@tackora.it. If you think the processing is not correct you can turn to the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it).
Children
Trama is not meant for people under 14.
Cookies
The site trama.tackora.it uses only technical cookies: the session one, after signing in, and the one with the chosen language. It uses no third-party cookies or tracking tools.
Changes
If we change this policy we update the date at the top; for important changes we tell you in the app.
